The Vermont Coalition of Clinics for the Uninsured (VCCU) is an association of nine free medical clinics and one free dental clinic serving the needs of the more than 40,000 Vermonters without medical and dental insurance and without the means to pay. The clinics, governed by community-based boards of directors, are located throughout the state and are supported by the tremendous work of volunteers plus community hospitals, local fund-raising and an annual grant from the State of Vermont. Each of the clinics offers free primary health care and referral services to low income uninsured or underinsured Vermonters. VCCU is now an incorporated 501(c)(3) organization.

Many of our Dental Clinics are free and/or government supported. Many are sliding scale dental care for low income. Please call the dental clinics or visit the websites of the dentists to cofirm that these clinics are free or low cost to the needy. We do our best to provide a helpful low cost and free dental services. Always confirm directly with the dental clinis to confirm that our information is up to date.

We also now display low cost, affordable clinics for the needy. Yes, our website name is FreeDental.org, but we now provide more. We are as specific as possible on the listing pages. It is the website users responsibility to contact the clinics listed to confirm whether the clinics is free, low cost, affordable, etc. Do not take it for granted that the clinic is free since it is listed on the website. We provide listings to help those with dental practices and services to help the needy.

I have been in a desperate situation with excruciating and debilitating periodontal disease, rapid decay, and my local medical dental office Community Health Center, last year performed 4 extractions that due to recent illness of pneumonia and known antibiotic treatment and steroids for, did not inform me of the healing risks when performing the extractions, which on Xray I have no doubt was beyond their office abilities given the severe state my mouth is in, and I have still yet to heal a year and a half later and suffered 4 dry sockets and infection for a month and a half after. Want any assistance with this dental and health care issue I deserve to get treatment for. Many thanks and God bless.
