The School of Medicine at Amarillo held a press conference on February 22 to officially announce their new management of the Community Dental Clinic located at 206 N.E. 7 th Street. Dr. Steven Berk, regional dean, School of Medicine, expressed appreciation to its supporting sponsors, the Amarillo Hospital District and the Amarillo Area Foundation, in addition to Baptist St. Anthony's Health System which provides the facility. Also recognized at the event were the full-time, contracted and volunteer dentists, the Community Dental Clinic staff and the Dental Advisory Council. The Amarillo Chamber of Commerce performed a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The Community Dental Clinic addresses the need for oral health services among lower income individuals, providing a state-of-the-art clinic setting with a professional staff to deliver services. Services included: teeth cleaning fillings stainless steel crowns root canals extractions partials dentures and follow-up treatment
