Introduced in 2000, the Greater Baton Rouge Community Clinic is a non-profit community initiative which provides free dental, medical, mental health and vision care services to their low-income, uninsured working neighbors. Services provided by the Community Clinic include: Dental Medical Mental Health Vision CareAfter screened and determined eligible, patients are assigned to a volunteer dental and medical provider and are seen in the provider's private office. Specialist providers are available by referral from the primary care physician or general dentist. Participating hospitals, imaging centers and laboratories provide basic diagnostic tests. Patients are notified that free medications are available through a collaboration with St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy, and that generic drugs are available for $4.00 at Walmart, Sam's, and Target. Medical and Dental Services are provided for six (6) months. Upon expiration, applicants can re-apply for an additional six (6) month period of medical services; dental services are provided for one six (6) month term only.

Many of our Dental Clinics are free and/or government supported. Many are sliding scale dental care for low income. Please call the dental clinics or visit the websites of the dentists to cofirm that these clinics are free or low cost to the needy. We do our best to provide a helpful low cost and free dental services. Always confirm directly with the dental clinis to confirm that our information is up to date.

We also now display low cost, affordable clinics for the needy. Yes, our website name is FreeDental.org, but we now provide more. We are as specific as possible on the listing pages. It is the website users responsibility to contact the clinics listed to confirm whether the clinics is free, low cost, affordable, etc. Do not take it for granted that the clinic is free since it is listed on the website. We provide listings to help those with dental practices and services to help the needy.
