The Georgia Association for Primary Health Care, Inc. (GAPHC) was founded as a not-for-profit Georgia corporation in 1979 through the cooperative efforts of a broad coalition of primary health care advocates in the state. Throughout its history, GAPHC has engaged in a strong public advocacy agenda in support of its mission:
